- 機械頭樂團是美國加州奧克蘭的重金屬樂隊。該組織於1991年10月12日成立，由歌手/吉他手Robb Flynn和貝司手Adam Duce創立。目前的樂隊陣容包括Flynn，鼓手Dave McClain，吉他手Phil Demmel和貝司手Jared MacEachern。機頭是美國重金屬新浪潮的開創性樂隊之一。
Flynn在樂隊“Forbidden”和“Vio-lence”中感到音樂上沒有實現機器頭，並要求開始一個側面項目，形成機頭。當他的請求被拒絕時，他離開了樂隊，並於1991年與Duce，Logan Mader和Tony Constanza一起組建了機器頭部。樂隊的第一張專輯“Burn My Eyes”在歐洲取得了巨大成功，在MTV的Headbangers Ball上獲得了關注。在美國（HBB在垃圾郵件運動期間脫掉空氣）機頭不會成功，直到後來的專輯。
該樂隊在談判了其標籤Roadrunner Records後，幾乎解散，當機頭的第四張專輯“增壓器”（9月11日襲擊後三週發布）導致他們的歌曲和音樂錄影帶“Crashes Around You”燃燒的建築物）被從所有的媒體拉出來。樂隊不久之後再次與Roadrunner簽約，並於2003年通過“帝國的灰燼”（2007年的“Blackening（獲得機器頭號第一屆格萊美獎提名獎”）和2011年的“蝗蟲”專輯發行了四張專輯。他們最新的專輯Bloodstone＆Diamonds於2014年發行。機頭在全球銷售了超過300萬條記錄。
