- 鋼鐵救世主是1996年在德國漢堡成立的德國電力金屬樂隊。經過幾年的音樂製作幕後工作，多樂器演奏家兼製作人兼工程師Piet Sielck與前Helloween樂隊成員Kai Hansen加盟，為盲人監護人Thomen Stauch設計的鼓手將參與一個將電力金屬與高概念科幻故事相融合的新項目。樂隊的首張專輯“鐵救主”介紹了這個故事，將在多張專輯的過程中講述一個自稱為“鐵救主”的太空船，以及它與亞特蘭蒂斯神話失落文明的關係。
批評家們將鐵救主的音樂和音樂方式比作猶大牧師，鐵娘子和皇后等經典重金屬樂隊。凱漢森在樂隊中的表現帶給了鐵救主的專輯，在這張專輯中他出現了受伽馬射線和Helloween影響很大的風格。
自從成立以來，Iron Savior已經發行了10張錄音室專輯，兩張EP，兩張單曲和一張現場專輯。
儘管有很多陣容的變化，Piet繼續指揮樂隊，現在是唯一剩下的創始成員。
