- EGOIST是一個日本的雙人音樂團體，由Supercell的詞曲作家Ryo和演唱者Chelly組成。最初是為了製作2011年的電視動畫罪惡王冠的主題曲而組成，後來又製作了其他動畫的主題曲，包括了心靈判官和甲鐵城的卡巴內里的主題曲。
ryo於2011年舉辦甄選會，為接下來的作品挑選客席主唱。報名期為5月25日至6月19日。從2000人中選出15歲的こゑだ（讀作Koeda）和17歲的chelly，兩人在2011年尾主唱《罪惡王冠》的歌曲正式出道，並且受到很大的迴響，當中chelly以Egoist名義發表歌曲。
原為電視動畫《罪惡王冠》內的虛擬網路音樂團體，並負責同部電視動畫內的主題曲與插曲，由當時年僅17歲的chelly主唱。
第1首片尾曲《Departures ～送給你的情歌～》（Departures ～あなたにおくるアイの歌～）則是chelly的出道單曲，以組合「EGOIST」的名義於同年11月30日發行。chelly（以及EGOIST）的第2張單曲《The Everlasting Guilty Crown》於2012年3月7日發行，為《罪惡王冠》的第2首片頭曲。EGOIST的兩張單曲皆收錄音樂組合Boom Boom Satellites的混音版本。
但在電視動畫結束後仍繼續以團體名稱活躍，由supercell擔當製作。
在2013年，EGOIST在Anime Festival Asia 2013首次作現場演出，以不亮相的方式並配合「3.5D THE LIVE」的技術令虛擬模型和真人的動作實時同步來演出。，在2014年「egoist live tour 2014」開催決定，EGOIST將會在大阪、東京和名古屋三地舉行演唱會。同年EGOIST的FAN CLUB正式成立，名稱為「EGOISTix*fam」。在2015年落實在香港舉行首次海外演唱會「EGOIST 2015.04.30 IN HONG KONG」，舉行日期為4月30日。2016.3.26 於台北台大綜合體育館擧辦2016年首場海外演唱會EGOIST LIVE TOUR 2016 IN TAIWAN。2017.3.4「EGOIST LIVE IN TAIPEI 2017」再次於台北台大綜合體育館擧辦，並與萬代南夢宮（BANDAI NAMCO）全新合作技術，讓2.5次元偶像女神「EGOIST」走出螢幕，立體擬真演出！
