Severing of the three poisons
There exists many types of poisons in this world; poison of medicine, poison of venom and honey, electricity, magic, mantra and even poison of the charm. However, the most difficult for us to detect is the deep rooted three poisons of greed, hatred and delusions. Only the awakened arahants who cultivate according to the right dharma can they be completely severed from the remainders (obstacle of afflictions), thus achieving a wholesome life.
貪欲瞋恚癡, 是世間三毒, 諸佛皆已斷,實語毒消除,
貪欲瞋恚癡, 是世間三毒, 達磨皆已斷, 實語毒消除,
貪欲瞋恚癡, 是世間三毒, 僧伽(sangha).皆已斷, 實語毒消除,
一切諸世尊, 有大威神力, 羅漢具名稱, 除毒令安穩,
我等並眷屬, 常得離災危, 願佛母明王, 令一切安穩.
